About The WCDSA

Our Mission:

It is the mission of the Washington County Deputy Sheriff's Association to provide representation to deputies of the Washington County Sheriff's Department in the areas of wages, benefits, and working conditions.

The Washington County Deputy Sheriff's Association also promotes an individual member commitment to the Washington County Community that we serve and reside in. You will find Association members active throughout local community civic, fraternal, and sporting organizations. Additionally the Association is providing monetary assistance to local causes such as: Drug Resistance Education, Friends of Abused Families, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and a scholarship fund for our local high school young adults. Please see our Fundraising page for additional information.

The Washington County Deputy Sheriffs Association’s goal is to professionally represent the Deputy Sheriffs that comprise the majority of the Washington County Deputy Sheriffs Department.

In order to achieve this goal, the WCDSA strives to promote a high level of commitment to public safety and professionalism within the ranks of the Washington County Sheriffs Department via an emphasis on education, legal support, community outreach and trust building.

So that the citizens of the County of Washington may enjoy an exceptional level of law enforcement protection by attracting and retaining the best and brightest Deputy Sheriffs, balanced with a focus on the responsible use of tax dollars, the WCDSA strives to ensure that the wages of Deputy Sheriffs are competitive to those being paid to Deputy Sheriffs in similar counties facing similar crime and danger.

The County of Washington faces many challenges. With county crime and the challenges of dangerous gang activity and violence, comes the need to maintain a highly professional Sheriffs Department. The Washington County Deputy Sheriffs Association is committed to partnering with our community, city and county leaders to make Washington County a safer place and maintain it as a great county to live, work and raise a family.
